About Alik

Alik Prakashan was founded by Ashok Shastri in 1987 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Ashok Shastri (1957-2008), originally a senior journalist and editor with an experience of 33 years in the field, and who was also, later a film script writer, was a man who dreamed.

​Alik Prakashan was merely a tangible expression of his love of literature and passion for quality books and publication.

He himself edited and designed all the books at Alik Prakashan. And was known for his originality, unique book design and perfect edits.
The first book he published under his publishing house, Alik Prakashan, was Rangeya Raghava's 'Bandhanmukta'- A collection of poems by Rangeya Raghava.

In 2019 , Alik Prakashan has been revived once again after a gap of some years by, in Ashok Shastri's memory, by his wife, Simantini Raghava... someone whose life is comprised of literature and theatre.
